People born between July 21 and July 31 who are eligible for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) will get a new payment from Social Security in the month of August. It is worth more than $2,000. For people born on these times who are disabled and meet some other requirements, they will get this payment every month. Different beneficiaries will receive different payment amounts based on their unique circumstances and the type of disability they are facing. The amount is also based on Social Security they paid before becoming disabled.

Who Qualifies for the Payment?
Are you eligible for a new Social Security payment of over $2,000? If you were born between the 21st and 31st of the month and qualify for the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program, you might be in luck!
To receive this monthly payment amount, disabled people must meet specific requirements. The amount you get depends on your unique situation, type of disability, and Social Security contributions made before becoming disabled.
How Much Can You Get?
Social Security Administration sends out millions of checks to people with disabilities every month. The size of the checks varies based on the type of disability, work record, and pre-disability contributions. For example, if you’re blind, you might qualify for up to $2,590 in SSDI. If you were employed before becoming disabled, you might qualify for the maximum disability payment of $3,822.
Social Security Administration Policy
The Social Security Administration’s policies and procedures can be tricky. It’s a good idea to seek clarification from a financial advisor or Social Security professional. Blind workers may also qualify for SSDI benefits by earning credits during their employment.
Social Security Disability Benefits
The Social Security Administration is one of the largest government social insurance programs in the country. Millions of retirees, survivors, disabled workers, and vulnerable individuals receive monthly benefits to meet their basic needs. Over 7 million beneficiaries receive monthly benefits from the SSDI program.

When To Apply?
You should fill out the application as soon as you can’t work.
- There is a five-month waiting time for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits. This means that payments will not start until the sixth full month of disability. The month that starts the SSDI waiting period is the first full month after the date we decide your disability started.
- If you are disabled because of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and are approved for SSDI payments on or after July 23, 2020, you do not have to wait.
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI) disability benefits are given for one full month after you made your claim or, if that date comes later, the date you became eligible for SSI.
